About

Evendoun Farm is a premier  Holsteiner Breeding Facility in Northern Colorado, run by Kathleen and Phil Benedict. Evendoun is Scottish for forthright and honest and this is how we run our business. Every foal comes with complete medical and personal history. Buying one of our foals insures you can see the mother on site and know exactly the training and medical history of your future riding prospect. Interesting fact: Our colts are named with either celtic, irish or scottish names that start with the first letter of their sire. Our fillies are named per AHHA requirements for the first letter of the foaling year and typically end in ‘a’.

Our breeding emphasizes correctness of form and personality for all levels of riders. Our mares are all approved through the American Holsteiner Horse Association. Each foal is handled from birth which makes them easy and fun to work with. We show our youngsters in sporthorse breeding and hunter breeding shows in order to give them show experience.

Our family includes our horses along with:

Grizzly, official greeter, and
